"Hemp separation apparatus" was invented by Tom Pires (Riverdale, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides improved hemp decortication systems and methods, and include multi stage segmenting, cleaning, and combing methods and apparatus for separating fibrous plant stalk, and particularly for separating hemp bast fiber from hemp hurd."
The patent was filed on April 14, 2025, under Application No. 19/178,399.
