"Clamping lock" was invented by Yiquan Zhai (Shanghai).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A modular furniture quick assembly system implementing toggle latches and pins to couple two adjacent structural tubes together. The toggle latch has a catch arm that engages with the pin. The pin is inserted at least partially through one or both of the adjacent structural tubes."
The patent was filed on Nov. 4, 2022, under Application No. 18/052,905.
