According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An emergency alert apparatus for providing stimuli such as alarms, lights, and data transmission to alert others to an emergency includes a garment which locks onto a user via a lock mechanism. An alert assembly is mounted to the garment and may include speakers, light emitters, data transmission electronics, and the like.
