ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,600,108, issued on April 14.
"Core and shell composite structural member" was invented by Kurt Heikkila (Marine on the St. Croix, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A core shell structural member. A core/shell composite structural member comprising a shell comprising a fiber and a polymer used to surround a foamed polymer core."
The patent was filed on Dec. 21, 2023, under Application No. 18/392,026.
