NEW ORLEANS, La., March 12 -- The University of New Orleans issued the following news release:
Across the University of New Orleans campus, some of the youngest members of the community are finding a place to play.
For many families, accessible youth sports can be difficult to find. Through a partnership between the University of New Orleans and nonprofit The 18th Ward, youth sports programming is bringing children and families onto campus recreation spaces, creating new opportunities for local kids to learn the fundamentals of athletics, build friendships and gain confidence through play.
