ORONO, Maine, Aug. 26 -- University of Maine issued the following news release:

The Maine College of Engineering and Computing at the University of Maine will host the state's first Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp this fall in Orono.

The free, 20-hour program will give high school students in grades 9-12 hands-on experience with artificial intelligence. Participants will explore generative AI, ethics and real-world applications in fields including health care, business, computer science, sports, sustainability and the arts. Students will work with industry mentors, collaborate with peers and create a capstone project that addresses a real-world challenge.
