Every summer, thousands of fans visit Hadlock Field to watch the Portland Sea Dogs. Behind every game is a team of professionals - and this season, three University of Maine students are among them.
After growing up as Sea Dogs fans themselves, Molly McKibben, Keegan Weed and Byron Rubito from the Maine Business School are gaining firsthand experience in professional sports through game day internships. These marketing and sport management majors are working customer service, promotions, ticketing and stadium operations while learning what it takes to oversee a professional baseball franchise.
