UK ROAD CLOSURES AND PARKING IMPACTS PLANNED DURING K WEEK

LEXINGTON, Ky., Aug. 17 -- The University of Kentucky issued the following news release:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 17,2026)-As the University of Kentuckywelcomes students back to campus for K Week,there will be temporaryroadclosuresand parking impacts associated withspecific events.

Avenue of Championsclosure for Wildcat Fest

Avenue ofChampionswill be closedon Wednesday, Aug. 19, from4-midnight.

The closure will extend along Avenue of Champions between the Gatton Student Center and Rose Street to accommodate increased pedestrian traffic and event activities.

Motorists should avoid the area during the closure and plan alternate routes.
