Oct. 6, 2026 | LITTLE ROCK - The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will integrate telehealth nutrition services and remote patient monitoring at two of its clinics to help patients better manage their diabetes and chronic health conditions.
Funded by a five-year, $1.5 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), registered dietitians will use digital health technology to provide individual and group medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to adult patients in Independence and Union counties with Type 2 diabetes mellitus or prediabetes and co-occurring obesity.
