LITTLE ROCK, Ark., July 30 -- The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences issued the following news release:

July 30, 2026 | Twenty students enrolled in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine each received a $10,000 UAMS Primary Care Workforce Scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic year, announced Tom South, assistant dean for UAMS medical student admissions.

The UAMS Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, in partnership with UAMS Regional Campuses, awarded $200,000 in scholarships through a Health Resources and Services Administration Medical Student Education grant, led by David Kelley, M.D.
