U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) joined Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), and several of their bipartisan colleagues in writing a letter (https://www.britt.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/rebar_trade_case_letter.pdf) to Amy Karpel, Chair of the U.S. International Trade Commission, opposing efforts by foreign nations to manipulate and undercut the American rebar industry and its workers.

Specifically, the letter requests that the U.S. International Trade Commission review antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) cases against Algeria, Bulgaria, Egypt, and Vietnam and ensure our trade laws are fully enforced.
