U.S. Senators Katie Britt (R-Ala.), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) and several of their Senate colleagues recently endorsed a request made by the U.S. farm-raised catfish industry for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to purchase surplus catfish products.
In a letter (https://www.britt.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Letter_Section-32_Hill-Support_2026.pdf) to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, the Senators asked Secretary Rollins to approve a request to purchase U.S. farm-raised catfish products through the Agricultural Marketing Service Section 32 Program.
