U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) joined Senator Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and 14 of their Senate Republican colleagues in urging the U.S. Department of Labor to protect American workers from the Biden Administration's disastrous proposed heat rule.
The Biden-era proposed rule would mandate that all businesses, no matter their safety record, size, location, or industry, comply with onerous requirements on safety staffing, recordkeeping and mandatory breaks at high-heat triggers that can create dangerous hazards for some workers. The one size fits all proposal is inefficient, dangerous, threatens job opportunities, and hurts local businesses.
