WASHINGTON, July 28 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Secret Service issued the following press release:
WASHINGTON - U.S. Secret Service and multiple law enforcement partners conducted a payment card skimming outreach operation in the greater Little Rock area and in various locations throughout Northwest Arkansas.
During the operation, which took place July 14-16, personnel visited more than 800 businesses and removed seven skimming devices, preventing an estimated potential loss of more than $7.3 million. More than 9,000 point-of sale terminals, gas pumps and ATMs were inspected.
