U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION ISSUES NOTICE: TEST OF THE NEW ELECTRONIC INFORMAL ENTRY PROCESS FOR MAIL

WASHINGTON, June 24 -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice called: Test of the New Electronic Informal Entry Process for Mail.

The notice was published in the Federal Register on June 24 by Susan S. Thomas, Executive Assistant Commissioner, Office of Trade.

Summary: This document announces that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is conducting a test of a new electronic informal entry type for merchandise entering the United States through the international mail process.
