WASHINGTON, July 14 -- Sen. Tommy Tuberville issued the following press release:
U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined U.S. Senators Jim Banks (R-IN) and James Lankford (R-OK) in introducing the Stop the Sexualization of Children Act. This legislation would prohibit federal funding from being used by K-12 schools to develop, implement, facilitate, or promote programs, activities, or literature featuring sexually oriented content for minors.
"Exposing children to sexually explicit material in classrooms is completely inappropriate and a gross abuse of taxpayer dollars. I will continue to work with my colleagues to remove this kind of content from our classrooms to protect the innocence of our young people," said Sen. Tuberville.
