DURHAM, N.C., Oct. 8 -- North Carolina State University issued the following press release:

The Battery and Energy Storage Technology Makerspace officially opened on Sept. 25.

The College of Engineering at NC State University unveiled a state-of-the-art facility for hands-on learning in battery development and energy storage systems last month.

The Battery and Energy Storage Technology Makerspace, or BEST Makerspace, is an experiential battery education hub that supports both students and industry professionals in learning how to build and test batteries, preparing them for a growing industry in North Carolina.

The space opened with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 25, followed by demonstrations of the equipment.
