NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 1 -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the following news release:
At the request of 20th Judicial District Attorney General Glenn Funk, TBI special agents are investigating the circumstances that led to an officer-involved shooting Saturday morning in Nashville.
Preliminary information indicates that on Friday, officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department attempting to serve arrest warrants, began searching for Jason Sexton (DOB 5/4/1972). On Saturday, they located Sexton in a car with another individual. At around 11:30, Sexton exited the car with a sword.
