UPDATED at 2:10 p.m. - The deceased individual has been identified as Shane L. Bryant (DOB: 09/23/92).
At the request of 6th Judicial District Attorney General Charme Allen, TBI agents are investigating the circumstances leading to an officer-involved shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning in Knox County.
Just before 2:30 a.m., deputies with the Knox County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a small motorcycle in the 4000 block of Clinton Highway that was being driven with no headlights or a license plate.
