SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION ISSUES PROPOSED RULE: SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARDS

WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 -- Small Business Administration has issued a proposed rule called: Small Business Size Standards.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on Sept. 24 by Ryan Lambert, Associate Administrator, Office of Industrial Base Resilience & Contracting.

Summary: On August 20, 2026, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA or the Agency) published a notice of proposed rulemaking and a notice of availability of Revised Size Standards Methodology in the Federal Registerto solicit public comments on the revised methodology and proposed Small Business Size Standards. Effective as of filing on September 21, 2026, SBA is extending the comment period for an additional 60 days until November 20, 2026.
