Today, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, celebrated the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) decades-long partnership with a beam signing ceremony at the future site of the UNH and NOAA Center of Excellence for Operational Ocean and Great Lakes Mapping. Since 1999, UNH and NOAA have collaborated on the operation of the Joint Hydrographic Center and Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping.
