U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), sent a letter to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche calling for the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci following the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) recent declassification of documents regarding the handling of COVID-19. As one of Congress's leading voices on COVID-19 origins and gain-of-function oversight since the start of the pandemic, Senator Marshall believes the newly declassified documents warrant an independent Special Counsel investigation into Dr. Fauci's role, as well as a review of former President Biden's pardon.
