Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) today released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for the Trump administration's termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti and Syria in the consolidated case, Mullin v. Doe. The Court's decision also impacts TPS holders from about a dozen other countries. Previously, Senator Markey introduced legislation to extend Haiti's TPS designation, and he supports legislation to give TPS holders a pathway to legal residency.
