Today, Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) released the following statement in response to continued reports (https://newjerseyglobe.com/immigration/dhs-confirms-death-of-third-delaney-hall-detainee/) of medical emergencies and deaths of Delaney Hall detainees:
"The late announcement of yet another death associated with Delaney Hall exposes how ICE tries to avoid responsibility. ICE cannot simply send a detainee out for medical care and pretend they aren't still on the hook, especially when GEO Group has repeatedly failed to provide care at Delaney Hall. I will keep fighting to shut this place down and shine a light on the poor conditions."
