Today, U.S. Senator Susan Collins delivered remarks at the grand opening ceremony for Penobscot Community Health Center's (PCHC) newly renovated Seaport Dental Center in Belfast. The 8-chair dental clinic is expected to serve approximately 7,200 patients each year and will provide acute and walk-in dental care services.
Dental care access in Waldo County is limited, especially for MaineCare, uninsured, and underinsured patients, and the new clinic will help reduce reliance on emergency departments for urgent dental needs.
