Today, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) released the following statement after voting to stop the sale of 1,000-pound bombs and bulldozers to Israel as Prime Minister Netanyahu continues to wage a war in Lebanon, breaking the U.S. ceasefire with Iran, killing hundreds of civilians, and extending the regional war.
"This illegal war of choice in Iran has to end. 13 Servicemembers have lost their lives and hundreds more have been wounded, gas and fertilizer costs are skyrocketing, and Americans are no safer today than when the war began. And if I have an opportunity to bring us closer to peace and stop any more needless deaths - I will do it.
