Senator Alsobrooks (D-Md.) released the following statement after President Trump announced that he was pulling his nomination of Casey Means to be Surgeon General.
"I said it at her nomination hearing, and I will say it again now: Casey Means did not have the qualifications to be our nation's Surgeon General. Dr. Means profited from unsafe products with hazardous ingredients, unsafe levels of lead and cadmium, or even traces of forever chemicals. After being given the opportunity at her hearing, Dr. Means refused to tell parents listening that vaccines are safe and effective.
