WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M) announced that the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee advanced his SAFE Drugs Act of 2026, legislation led by him and U.S. Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) to strengthen patient safety and increase transparency in the pharmacy compounding industry. The SAFE Drugs Act passed the Committee with a vote of 17-5 and now heads to the Senate floor.
