SEN. OSSOFF WORKING ACROSS THE AISLE TO STRENGTHEN DIABETES PREVENTION

Washington, D.C.- U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working with Republicans and Democrats to strengthen diabetes prevention.

Sen. Ossoff is cosponsoring the bipartisanStrengthening Collective Resources for Encouraging Education Needed (SCREEN) for Type I Diabetes Act of 2026to establish a Type 1 Diabetes public awareness campaign and urge people to get screened.

According to theCenters for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC), Type 1 Diabetes can occur in all ages but is the most common type of diabetes in children.
