U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working to expand mental health care for Georgia veterans.
Sen. Ossoff recently cosponsored the Building Resources and Access for Veterans' Mental Health Engagement Act (BRAVE) of 2025 to expand mental health care services for veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
According to the American Psychological Association, VA reports throughout 2025 showed a monthly decline in psychologists employed by the Veterans Health Administration, with 57% of medical centers (https://www.apa.org/monitor/2026/03/workforce-shortages-threaten-veteran-care) reporting a shortage.
