U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff today announced a new Federal funding opportunity for Georgia's rural hospitals.
As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Sen. Ossoff helped pass into law funding for a new Federal grant program to support rural hospitals as part of the bipartisan government funding bill that became law on February 3.
The new Rural Hospital Provider Assistance Program (RHPAP) offers Federal funding to rural hospitals for the maintenance of health care providers with the goal of maintaining essential health care services and preventing closures.
