The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced grants totaling $3,673,217 for the following two North Dakota programs:

$2,146,647 to the University of North Dakota for research and training through the Translational Science Engaging North Dakota (TRANSCEND) initiative, a five-year project supporting biomedical research and workforce development emphasizing local healthcare applications.

$1,526,570 to the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services through the CDC's Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) for Prevention and Control program, intended to strengthen North Dakota's technical capacity to respond to public health threats....
