FLORENCE, AL - Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) has announced that $2 million in the FY27 Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development (THUD) appropriations have been allocated for safety upgrades along the Pine Street corridor at the University of North Alabama.

The $2 million will enable the implementation of necessary safety upgrades along Pine Street in order to create a safer environment for UNA students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
