Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak (R-ND), a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, today questioned Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin during a hearing titled, "The Fiscal Year 2027 Environmental Protection Agency Budget." Fedorchak highlighted her January 2025 letter to the Trump administration, detailing 20 federal rules that drove up costs, threatened grid reliability, and put North Dakota energy workers at a disadvantage. Today, 17 of those regulations-many of which fall under EPA jurisdiction-have been fully repealed, withdrawn, vacated by courts, or are actively being rolled back.
