Email sent to Eastern employees from Troy Bester, senior project manager, Facilities and Planning, on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 24, theScience Building and Cheney Hall Service Drive areawill be closed to vehicle and pedestrian access to accommodate site improvements associated with the Science Building renovation project. The work includes landscape improvements, excavation activities, utility preparation and roadway resurfacing.

During construction activities, the project area will experience:

* Excavation and site preparation work.
