RADFORD, Va., Aug. 12 -- Radford University issued the following news release:
Education for Virginia (SCHEV) for a new graduate certificate in Substance Abuse and
Addictions Counseling. This new program will provide knowledge and skills in the prevention,
treatment and recovery of substance use disorders by exploring societal dimensions
of substance abuse and addiction in the United States.
This program will give aspiring counselors an understanding of the neurobiological
and pharmacological foundations of substance abuse and addictive behaviors, preparing
them to work with individuals, families and communities impacted by substance misuse.
