U.S. Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawai'i) today released the following statement after federal prosecutors announced (https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7405670/2026/06/29/malik-beasley-indicted-sports-gambling/) that that two former NBA players have been indicted on sports gambling charges. Schatz is set to introduce legislation regulating gambling in professional sports, which includes a ban on micro prop bets.
