BLACKSBURG, Va., Aug. 20 -- Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University issued the following news release:
The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets Class of 2030 arrived for M-Day on Aug. 14, launching Forge Week - a nine-day session of basic military instruction focused on followership, teamwork, confidence, resilience, fitness, and service. Representing all academic colleges, the 494 new cadets make up the second-largest first-year cadet class since 1965 for Virginia Tech, one of only six senior military colleges in the nation.
