NEWTON, N.J., Oct. 7 -- Sussex County Community College issued the following news release:
Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Carolyn Jane Scott Charitable Trust to support and advance the Fire Behavior & Thermal Imaging Training Enhancement Project.
The grant funds will purchase specialized instructional and investigative training equipment to enhance the Fire Science and Criminal Justice programs. SCCC will order and convert a 10-foot shipping container into a furnished-room burn cell. The burn cell will support controlled, live-fire demonstrations and post-fire investigative scenarios for fire and explosion investigations.
