KEARNEY, Neb., Aug. 20 -- The University of Nebraska Kearney issued the following news release:
Three UNK sororities welcomed their newest members Thursday during the annual Bid Day event at Foster Field. The celebration marks the end of sorority recruitment and beginning of a new academic year. The UNK chapters of Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi and Gamma Phi Beta participated in Bid Day, with more than 100 students joining the sororities. UNK also has an Alpha Xi Delta chapter and two multicultural sororities, Lambda Theta Nu and Sigma Lambda Gamma, along with six fraternities.
