WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) joined Senate colleagues in celebrating the passage of their bipartisan Senate resolution designating August 1, 2026, as "Gold Star Children's Day." This effort recognizes the children of fallen servicemembers for their parents' sacrifice in service to our nation. In the 20th and 21st centuries, nearly 625,000 American servicemembers have made the ultimate sacrifice and over the past 25 years have been survived by nearly 15,000 children.
