Ferries offer a fast, fun, convenient, environmentally friendly and scenic way to hop between local waterfront ports across the Ocean State, with seasonal service between Providence, Bristol, and Newport being among the most popular routes.
In an effort to connect communities, strengthen the economy, and build for the future, U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse and Representatives Gabe Amo and Seth Magaziner successfully steered $13,500,000 in federal funding to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) to support upgrades to the Providence Ferry Terminal, located at 25 Portugal Parkway (Fox Point).
