Representative John W. Mannion (NY-22) today announced that he is cosponsoring H.R. 5487, the Keep the Lights Local Act https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/5487), legislation to prohibit foreign ownership of American public utilities.

The bill would help protect ratepayers, strengthen accountability, and keep more of the money families pay through their monthly utility bills invested in American communities instead of supporting profits overseas.
