Today, Congresswoman Young Kim's (CA-40) Credit Access and Inclusion Act passed out of the House Financial Services Committee to help Americans more easily build and improve their credit scores.
Approximately 26 million (https://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/201505_cfpb_data-point-credit-invisibles.pdf) Americans are considered "credit invisible," or lack a history of traditional payments such as student loans, car loans, or mortgage payments.
