Today, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) voted in favor of H.R. 8469, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, legislation that funds veterans' health care, benefits, toxic exposure treatment, and opioid prevention programs.
The bill provides $481 billion for fiscal year 2027, nearly $32 billion more than current funding levels. The bill also provides advance funding through fiscal year 2028 to ensure veterans continue receiving uninterrupted care and benefits.
