Today, U.S. Representative Hillary Scholten (D-MI-03) announced $11,026,695 to restore and revitalize an approximately 2,887-foot stretch of the Lower Grand River flowing through the City of Grand Rapids. The funding is through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and will improve public safety, restore aquatic habitats for native Great Lakes fish and mussel species, and enhance river access and use.
