WASHINGTON - Representative Ronny Jackson (TX-13) has been selected as a recipient of West Texas A&M University's Department of Agricultural Sciences First Choice Award, recognizing his leadership, service, advocacy, and support for agriculture and agricultural education in the Texas Panhandle.
Jackson has worked to bring federal resources back to West Texas and expand opportunities for students pursuing careers in agriculture. His efforts include helping secure over $3 million in federal funding for the new West Texas A&M University Feedlot Educational Training Facility's research feedlot and educational complex.
