Colorado Congressman Joe Neguse announced that $4.28 million in federal funding for the Global Monitoring Lab (GML) housed at NOAA in Boulder has been released by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The funds have been received by the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science (CIRES) and allow work to resume and furlough notices to be rescinded after a weekslong funding lapse began on March 24, 2026.
