Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) today applauded Beaufort County Parks and Recreation for announcing a countywide ban on Roundup and other glyphosate-based herbicides in County parks, the first meaningful county-level pesticide safeguard in South Carolina.

Rep. Mace helped strip pesticide-preemption and liability-shield provisions out of the Farm Bill, preserving the right of states and local governments to adopt stronger pesticide protections than federal law requires. She has also supported the bipartisan No Immunity for Glyphosate Act.
