On Saturday, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) held the 2026 Youth Town Hall and announced that applications for the 36th Congressional District's Youth Advisory Council are now open and will be accepted through Friday, June 26, 2026. The Youth Advisory Council provides a unique opportunity for students to meet with a diverse group of peers, discuss issues of importance and consider ways of getting involved locally. They will recommend bills for the Congressman to cosponsor and brainstorm bill ideas of their own.
